Morocco is becoming a more popular tourist destination within the last few years and for good reason. This country has many different things to offer from mountains to beaches to deserts, Morocco has many things to offer all travelers. There are some things that you should know before you go to this amazing country, here are my top travel tips for Morocco.

Marrakech, also known as The Red City, is the most visited city within Morocco. It gets its name as the red city due to many of the buildings being made of copper clay. One of the things that makes Marrakech unique, is the mix of so many different cultures here. As you walk around the city, you can see the different influences of the European, African, and Middle Eastern cultures that give this city a certain flair. There are many things to see and do in this town, but here are the top 6 things you can’t miss doing.

Egypt has been on my bucket list for a long time and I recently got the opportunity to spend 9 days exploring the country. This has been one of my favorite trips so far and these are some tips to help you enjoy your time in Egypt.

Rabat is the capital of Morocco and although it is not a top tourist destination, the city has plenty to offer and should be on your bucket list for Morocco. When Morocco gained independence from France in 1956, the Moroccan King chose to base the government here. Today it is the country’s seventh largest city and has a population of approximately 1.2 million including the surrounding area. Today the King still lives in the area and while it is more of a town for businessmen and students, there are plenty of things to see and explore here. These are all the top sights that you want to see if you only have 24 hours in Rabat.

Essaouira is not like most of the other tourist towns within Morocco. While in Marrakech or Fez, your days will be packed and there are throngs of tourists. In Essaouira, I enjoyed the more relaxed pace of life and getting to explore this beautiful coastal city. It was our 2nd to last stop in Morocco and was a great place to recharge. You should spend some time enjoying the nice relaxed pace of this town as you meander through all the colorful streets.
